Bulldozer

Category:

mechanical equipment

Keywords: engineering construction

A bulldozer is an earthmoving machine capable of excavating, transporting and discarding rock and soil, and has a wide range of uses in open-pit mines. For example, it is used for the construction of dumping yards, leveling automobile dumps, stacking scattered ore rock, leveling work plates and building sites, etc. It is not only used for auxiliary work, but also for primary mining work. For example: stripping and mining of placer deposits, traction and boosting of scrapers and ploughers, reduction of stripping step height in cooperation with other earthmoving machinery when there is no transport mining method, etc.

Walking style
Bulldozers can be divided into two types: crawler type and tire type. The crawler bulldozer has large adhesion traction, small grounding specific pressure (0.04 to 0.13MPa), strong climbing ability, but low driving speed. The tire bulldozer has high driving speed, flexible maneuverability, short operating cycle time, convenient transportation and transfer, but low traction, which is suitable for frequent changes of construction site and field work.

By use
It can be divided into two types: general type and special type. The universal type is a standard production model and is widely used in earthworks. The special type is used under specific working conditions, including wetland bulldozers and marshland bulldozers using triangular wide track shoes to reduce the specific pressure of grounding, amphibious bulldozers, underwater bulldozers, cabin bulldozers, unmanned bulldozers, bulldozers operating under high prototype and high humidity conditions, etc.
